Why: This Short Course is designed to cover the basic ‘nuts and bolts’ of travelers’ philanthropy. Its aim is to help conference participants (and others), particularly those without much understanding of this concept and how it works, to gain a good overview before moving into the conference’s more in-depth discussion of issues, trends, and challenges within the field of travelers’ philanthropy.

It is also designed to give a solid overview of travelers’ philanthropy to those who cannot attend the full conference.

The course instructors have acquired their knowledge through years of practice, participation, and promotion of travelers’ philanthropy. It is designed to help responsible tourism businesses, NGOs, and community organizations to prepare for, plan, implement, and manage travelers’ philanthropy initiatives.
